VisDelta Story
Write interactive data stories with MDX and native VisDelta charts.
VisDelta Story is an independent application built on VisDelta. It supplies the MDX editor, scrolling layouts, reactive prose, controls and project files. VisDelta supplies chart declarations, rendering and transitions.
Start writing
Open Story Studio, choose Sales, and edit the prose in story.mdx. Quick start walks through a complete example.
The editor has three files: story.mdx for prose and components, chart.js for native charts or a model, and data.json for editable records. Small stories can keep chart declarations inside MDX.
Choose an example
- Sales: overview → highlight → overview.
- Energy: a slider binds filtered charts and quoted counts.
- Weather: a real historical archive, date/measure selection and percentile exploration.
Application and library boundaries
Scrolly, Step, StoryData and the binding controls belong to VisDelta Story. They are not exports from the visdelta package. Native expressions such as bar(rows).x('region').y('revenue') belong to VisDelta. Chart authoring explains how these fit together.
This documentation is maintained and deployed with Story. It uses the same Fumadocs layout, sidebar, static search, page contents and Markdown exports as the VisDelta documentation.
