Quick start
Build a complete three-step story without hooks or scroll handlers.
Run locally
npm ci
npm run devOpen http://127.0.0.1:4322/story/. The installed VisDelta package is included as a pinned public distribution snapshot; no sibling checkout is required.
Paste this into story.mdx
import { bar } from 'visdelta/bar'
export const chart = bar([
{ region: 'North', revenue: 18 },
{ region: 'South', revenue: 12 },
{ region: 'West', revenue: 9 },
]).x('region').y('revenue')
# Which region sells the most?
<Scrolly>
<Step chart={chart} title="Overview">
## Compare all three regions
Every bar shows one region's revenue.
</Step>
<Step chart={chart.highlight({ region: 'North' })} title="North">
## Look at North
The other regions remain visible for comparison.
</Step>
<Step chart={chart} title="Compare again">
## Return to the whole picture
</Step>
</Scrolly>Read and save
Leave Auto-run on, or press Run (⌘/Ctrl+Enter). Entering each step starts its transition; stopping the scroll lets the animation finish. Reverse scrolling returns toward the previous state.
Read story expands the preview. Save project (⌘/Ctrl+S) downloads MDX, chart code and data together. Export MDX downloads only the source. Project files explains their portability.
